DOHA: The Qatar Basketball Federation has unveiled the new design for the HH the Emir Basketball Cup for the 2025–2026 season during a press conference held today at its headquarters.
The event was attended by Secretary General Saadoun Sabah Al-Kuwari, alongside representatives from broadcast, print, and digital media.
The announcement forms part of the federation’s broader efforts to enhance domestic competitions, both structurally and competitively, amid rising national interest in basketball.
Officials emphasized that the new edition will introduce a significant increase in financial rewards, marking a major step forward for the tournament.
The championship-winning team will receive QAR 1.5 million, while the runners-up will earn QAR 900,000.
These incentives are aimed at motivating clubs to elevate performance levels and reinforcing the tournament’s standing as one of Qatar’s premier basketball competitions, particularly given the closely matched standard among teams.
