DOHA: The Longines Arena at Al Shaqab hosted the competitions of the Final of Group VII of the International Equestrian Federation for the youth and junior categories for the 2025–2026 season.
The event featured the participation of more than 100 riders representing several countries, with a total prize pool exceeding €318,000.
The championship kicked off today and will continue for four days. The opening day included a class for juniors at a height of 110 cm, which saw the qualification of 21 riders to the next round in the individual category. In the team competition, teams from Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia qualified for the next stage. The qualifiers were honored by Eng. Hamad Al Buainain, Director of Arenas for the tournament.
In the 120 cm class for young riders, 23 riders delivered clear rounds in the individual competition, securing their qualification to the next stage. In the team competition of the same class, teams from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait participated. The qualifiers were awarded by Mr. Abdullah Al Qashouti, Director of Marketing and Communications for the tournament.
In the Under-25 class at a height of 135 cm, Qatari rider Ahmed Al Saad secured first place with a time of 33.01 seconds. Saudi rider Abdullah Al Aziz finished second with a time of 33.24 seconds riding “Q Line,” while UAE rider Saif Al Kaabi came third with a time of 33.72 seconds.
The top six finishers were honored by HE Sultan Mohammed Al Yahyai, President of Group VII of the International Equestrian Federation.
