MUNICH: Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi will miss the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich next week after suffering a thigh injury, the club confirmed on Wednesday.
PSG head to Munich on May 6 holding a narrow 5-4 advantage from the first leg, but Hakimi’s absence comes as a major setback for coach Luis Enrique.
The Moroccan international appeared to struggle physically during the closing stages of Tuesday’s first leg, continuing to play despite visible discomfort as PSG had already used all their substitutions.
The club later confirmed that Hakimi sustained an injury to his right thigh and will be sidelined for the next few weeks.
