MILAN: Inter Milan could officially be crowned Serie A champions this weekend when they host Parma at the San Siro, with the title race nearing its conclusion.
Inter currently hold a commanding 10-point lead over Napoli, who face Como on Saturday. Just one victory from their remaining four matches would seal a 21st league title for the Milan giants, and their third in six seasons.
However, Inter supporters could begin celebrations even before kickoff on Sunday. If Napoli suffer defeat and AC Milan—currently 12 points behind in third—fail to secure a win against Sassuolo earlier in the day, the Scudetto race could effectively be decided.
All of this unfolds as a growing referee controversy casts a shadow over Italy’s top flight, raising fresh concerns about the league’s integrity.
