BANGALORE: David Miller smashed two crucial sixes in a tense final over to guide Delhi to a six-wicket victory over Bengaluru in their Indian Premier League clash on Saturday.
Delhi’s bowlers delivered a disciplined performance to restrict RCB to 175 for 8, setting up a competitive chase. In response, the visitors chased down 176 with just one ball remaining.
KL Rahul (57) and Tristan Stubbs (60 not out) laid a solid foundation with the bat, but it was Miller’s unbeaten 22 that proved decisive, as his late assault turned the game in Delhi’s favour.
Despite the loss, Bhuvneshwar Kumar impressed with the ball, returning figures of 3 for 26 in his four overs. Earlier, RCB were powered by a fluent 63 off 38 balls from English opener Phil Salt.
