MEXICO CITY : The final two places at the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be decided on Tuesday when intercontinental playoff matches take place in Mexico.
The Democratic Republic of Congo will face Jamaica at Guadalajara Stadium, while Iraq take on Bolivia at Monterrey Stadium, with the winners completing the 48-team lineup for the tournament.
Jamaica booked their place in the playoff with a 1-0 win over New Caledonia and will represent CONCACAF against the African side, who advanced based on their superior FIFA ranking.
The winner of that tie will join Group K at the World Cup alongside Colombia, Portugal and Uzbekistan.
In the other playoff, Bolivia progressed after a 2-1 victory over Suriname and will represent South America against Iraq for the remaining spot.
The expanded World Cup, hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, is scheduled to kick off on June 11.
