KOLKATA: East Bengal lifted the Indian Super League title for the first time in club history after producing a stunning comeback 2-1 victory over Inter Kashi on a thrilling final day of the season.
The triumph also ended a 22-year wait for a domestic first-division crown.
Mohun Bagan finished runners-up despite fighting back from a goal down to defeat SC Delhi 2-1 at home. Meanwhile, Mumbai City FC delivered a clinical 2-0 away win over 10-man Punjab FC. In the other fixture, Jamshedpur FC and Odisha FC played out a goalless draw at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.
