Doha: Al Duhail SC secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over Al Gharafa SC in Week 20 of the Qatar Stars League at Khalifa International Stadium on Saturday.
Almoez Ali scored a stoppage-time winner to earn Al Duhail all three points, taking them to 30 points, while Al Gharafa remained on 34.
The match produced four first-half goals in an entertaining contest. Mubarak Shanan opened the scoring for Al Duhail in the seventh minute with a close-range header.
Al Gharafa responded in the 26th minute when Aladin Hasan headed home from a free-kick delivered by Yacine Brahimi.
Edmilson Junior restored Al Duhail’s lead in the 37th minute with a powerful low strike, but Ferjani Sassi equalised for Al Gharafa just before the break.
The second half was tightly contested, with both sides pushing for a winner, until Almoez Ali struck in added time to seal a hard-fought victory for Al Duhail.
