Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France: Jannik Sinner produced a dominant display to defeat Alexander Zverev 6-1, 6-4 and secure a place in the final of the Monte-Carlo Masters.
The second-seeded Italian, already in top form after winning Indian Wells Masters and the Miami Open last month, overwhelmed Zverev early with a near-flawless opening set, racing to a double-break lead.
The second set was more competitive, but with the score locked at 4-4, Sinner raised his level, breaking serve before calmly closing out the match. The win marked his fourth consecutive Masters 1000 semi-final victory over Zverev and improved his head-to-head record to 9-4.
With this run, Sinner becomes only the fourth player to reach the finals at Indian Wells, Miami, and Monte Carlo in the same season, joining legends Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
Sinner will face either world number one Carlos Alcaraz or home favorite Valentin Vacherot in the final, as he looks to claim his first title in Monte Carlo.
