Indianapolis, IN, USA : Azzi Fudd will reportedly not face disciplinary action for her postgame remarks about officiating following her preseason debut in the WNBA.
According to reports, the No. 1 overall pick for the Dallas Wings will avoid a fine after speaking candidly about adjusting to the league’s physical style during a win over the Las Vegas Aces.
“Honestly, I’m more confused,” said the former University of Connecticut standout. “I thought you could be physical in the W, and anytime you touch someone, it’s a foul… I’m still figuring that out.”
Fudd contributed 12 points, one assist, and two fouls in 21 minutes as a starter in Dallas’ 101-84 victory in Austin, Texas.
The Wings will open their 2026 regular season on Saturday against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever, as Fudd continues her transition into professional basketball.
