DOHA : A Qatari officiating team has been appointed to oversee the international friendly between Georgia national football team and Romania national football team in Tbilisi on Tuesday, highlighting growing cooperation between the refereeing departments of the Qatar Football Association and its Georgian counterpart.
The officiating crew will be headed by international referee Mohammed Al Mazeed, with Jumaa Al Buraishid and Khalid Ayed serving as assistant referees. Mohammed Al Shammari has been appointed fourth official.
The selection reflects the growing recognition of Qatari referees on the international stage and their increasing involvement in regional, continental and global competitions.
It also underlines efforts by the football associations of Qatar and Georgia to strengthen technical cooperation and exchange expertise in officiating, with the aim of enhancing refereeing standards and expanding international opportunities for match officials.
