DOHA: Al Gharafa were held to a 0-0 draw by Lusail in the fourth round of the Qatar Stars League on Friday.
Lusail moved up to fourth place temporarily with five points, while Al Gharafa climbed to eighth on four points, with both positions subject to the remaining matches in the round.
Al Gharafa dominated possession and created several chances, with Yacine Brahimi, Ferjani Sassi and Frank Magri all coming close to breaking the deadlock.
Lusail threatened on the counter after the break, with goalkeeper Khalifa Ababacar making important saves from Rodrigo Moreno and Farhad Ismail.
Al Gharafa pressed for a late winner, but Adam Ounas struck the crossbar in stoppage time as the points were shared.
