AHMEDABAD, India : Qatar finished seventh at the 2026 AVC Men’s Volleyball Cup after coming from a set down to beat Chinese Taipei 3-1 in the classification match on Sunday.
Qatar recovered from losing a closely contested opening set to claim a 30-32, 25-22, 25-18, 25-15 victory, securing their second win of the tournament.
The Gulf side had finished fourth in Pool B after defeating Thailand but suffering losses to Oman, Indonesia and South Korea, sending them into the seventh-place playoff against Chinese Taipei.
Indonesia lifted the title with a straight-sets victory over South Korea in the final, while hosts India claimed third place after defeating Bahrain 3-1.
Kazakhstan secured fifth place with a 3-1 win over Thailand, and Oman finished ninth after beating New Zealand, who placed 10th.
