BEIRUT: Qatar’s Mohammed Ehab and Mousa Al Khair won the silver medal at the 2026 West Asia Beach Volleyball Championship after finishing runners-up in the second and final round in Batroun, Lebanon.
The Qatari pair began their campaign with a 2-0 quarter-final victory over Kuwait before overcoming hosts Lebanon by the same score in the semi-finals.
They faced another Lebanese pair, Jad Abi Karam and Hadi Shbeib, in the final but were beaten 2-1 as the hosts secured the gold medal.
The result adds to Qatar’s growing record in beach volleyball, with the country continuing to make an impact at regional and continental competitions.
The silver medal also underlines the progress of Qatar’s beach volleyball programme as it continues to develop players capable of competing at the highest levels in West Asia and beyond.
