NAGOYA, Japan — Qatar advanced to the men’s handball quarter-finals as Group A winners after beating Japan 37-28 at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games.
The victory gave Qatar the top spot in the group and secured their place in the knockout stage.
Qatar had earlier beaten Hong Kong, China 40-17 and China 30-25 before defeating hosts Japan.
Qatar will now prepare for their quarter-final as they continue their bid for an Asian Games medal.
