DOHA : The Qatar Basketball Federation (QBA) will hold a sports integrity workshop next week in collaboration with the International Centre for Sport Security as part of efforts to strengthen governance and protect the integrity of basketball in the country.
The workshop, scheduled for Tuesday at the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, will bring together members of Qatar’s men’s and women’s national teams, as well as under-16 squads and club teams, for a practical training session focused on integrity in sport.
According to the federation, the programme has been developed in line with the International Basketball Federation Code of Ethics and Integrity and the QBA’s 2026 disciplinary regulations.
The session will examine the federation’s approach to integrity and governance, outline the ICSS’s regulatory frameworks and best practices, and review lessons drawn from real-world cases across a range of sports.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts by the QBA to promote ethical conduct, transparency and accountability within Qatari basketball while raising awareness among players and team officials about threats to sporting integrity.
