DOHA: Al Arabi and Al Sadd are preparing for a decisive and high-stakes clash at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at Al Gharafa Hall, as part of the quarterfinals of the Qatar Basketball Cup for the 2025–2026 season.
The matchup will determine the final team to secure a spot in the semifinals of the tournament’s 13th edition.
The semifinal lineup is nearly complete. Al Rayyan advanced after defeating Al Khor 70–47, while Al Wakrah claimed its place with an 86–73 victory over Qatar Club. Al Shamal also booked its spot by overcoming Al Gharafa 99–78. One semifinal berth remains, to be decided between Al Arabi and Al Sadd.
Al Sadd earned its quarterfinal place with a 78–67 win over Al Ahli, showcasing strong defensive organization and effective offense during key moments of the game.
Attention now turns to this crucial encounter, which will determine the final semifinalist.
The winner will go on to face Al Rayyan, while the other semifinal will see Al Wakrah take on Al Shamal.
Both semifinal games are scheduled for Monday, April 13, 2026, at Al Gharafa Hall, with the final set for Thursday, April 16, 2026, to crown the champion of the 13th edition.
