DOHA : Qatar U-17 coach Nicholas Arnaldo has named a 23-player squad for the second U-17 Gulf Cup, which will be held in Qatar from Oct. 16 to Nov. 4, featuring 10 teams.
Qatar have been drawn in Group A alongside the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain and China, while Group B comprises Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Yemen and Egypt.
The tournament will begin with a group stage, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-final matches will then meet in the final to decide the champions.
Qatar will look to make the most of home advantage as they prepare to compete against regional rivals and China in the group stage.
