DOHA : Police SC and Al Arabi advanced to the semi-finals of the 47th HH the Amir Cup Volleyball Championship after strong quarter-final performances in Doha.
Police SC defeated Al Sadd 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 26-24, 25-19), while Al Arabi cruised past Al Gharafa 3-0 (25-15, 30-28, 25-22) at Aspire Women’s Hall.
They join Qatar SC and Al Wakrah in the last four, after both sides secured straight-set victories over Al Rayyan and Al Ahli respectively in earlier matches.
The semi-finals, set for next Sunday, will feature Qatar SC against Al Arabi, while Police SC take on Al Wakrah in what are expected to be closely contested encounters under the single-elimination format.
Tournament official Mohammed Salem Al Kuwari praised the high level of competition in the quarter-finals, highlighting the strong organization and the decision to host all matches in one venue as key factors in enhancing the overall experience for teams and fans.
