WELLINGTON : New Zealand opener Devon Conway has been ruled out of the remainder of the one-day international series against India after suffering a concussion in a collision with teammate Matt Henry during training earlier this week.
Fast bowler Henry has been cleared of concussion following the incident and will be available for the second ODI in Wellington on Saturday, New Zealand Cricket said.
Left-handed top-order batter Nick Kelly has been called up from the New Zealand A squad to replace Conway.
India took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series after winning the rain-affected opening ODI in Auckland by five wickets on Wednesday.
New Zealand will be hoping Conway makes a full recovery ahead of the first of their two tests against India, which begins in Wellington on November 19.
