Kolkata: Mohammedan Sporting Club played out a 1-1 draw against United SC today in a closely contested Calcutta Football League encounter at the Barasat Stadium.
The first half ended goalless, with both sides creating opportunities but neither able to break the deadlock. The scoreline remained 0-0 at the half-time whistle.
United SC came out strongly after the break and found the back of the net to take the lead. Mohammedan Sporting Club responded with determination and were awarded a penalty kick later in the second half. Mahitosh stepped up and calmly converted from the spot to bring the squad level at 1-1.
Despite both teams pushing for a winning goal in the closing stages, neither side could find the decisive breakthrough, and the match ended 1-1 at full time.
With the result, Mohammedan Sporting Club now have 15 points from seven matches, having recorded four wins and three draws so far in the league.
