NEW DELHI: India’s Yuki Bhambri is a doubtful starter for the upcoming Davis Cup tie against Korea in Seoul after suffering a right-leg strain during practice ahead of his US Open main-draw match.
Bhambri did not travel with the first batch of Indian players that departed on Thursday night, raising concerns over his availability for the crucial tie, with the winner securing a place in the elite eight-team Davis Cup Finals.
The 32-year-old described the injury as a minor strain and said it poses no threat to his participation in the Asian Games later this month.
