India fast bowler Harshit Rana has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match One-Day International series against England with a hamstring injury, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said on Saturday.
Rana sustained the injury during the third Twenty20 International against England and missed the final two matches of the series, which India lost 4-0.
The BCCI named Prince Yadav as Rana’s replacement for the ODI squad. Yadav, who featured in the T20 series but was not originally selected for the 50-over squad, will remain in England for the ODI series, which begins on Tuesday in Birmingham.
India were also dealt another injury setback after spinner Varun Chakravarthy suffered a hamstring injury during the T20 series.
Chakravarthy will miss India’s three-match T20 series against Zimbabwe later this month and has been replaced by Ravi Bishnoi.
