Sylhet: Pakistan national cricket team were 316 for seven at stumps on the fourth day of the second and final Test against Bangladesh national cricket team on Tuesday, still requiring 121 runs to win the match.
Pakistan began the fourth day with openers Azan Owais and Abdullah Fazal at the crease, but Abdullah Fazal was dismissed for six runs by Naheed Rana with the team score on 27.
Soon after, Azan Owais also returned to the pavilion after scoring 21 runs, leaving Pakistan at 41 for two.
Following the early setbacks, Babar Azam and captain Shan Masood steadied the innings with an important partnership. Babar played an aggressive knock of 47 off 52 balls before falling to Tejul Islam, while Shan Masood top-scored with 71 runs.
After Shan’s dismissal, Salman Ali Agha and Mohammad Rizwan added valuable runs, helping Pakistan stay in the chase.
At the close of play on Tuesday, Mohammad Rizwan was unbeaten on 75, while Sajid Khan was batting on eight runs.
