DOHA : The Doha Diamond League will be held at Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium in Qatar Sports Club on June 19 instead of Khalifa International Stadium, the Qatar Athletics Federation said on Tuesday.
The federation said the meeting would feature leading international athletes, including Olympic and world medallists and record holders, competing across 14 men’s and women’s track and field events.
Qatar’s Olympic and world champion Mutaz Barshim is set to compete in the men’s high jump as he continues his return from injury after missing the previous two seasons.
The federation said Barshim’s appearance would mark another step in his comeback campaign after recently winning gold at the Asian Jumps Championships in China.
The Diamond League had previously confirmed the participation of Swedish pole vault star Armand Duplantis, winner of the 2025 Diamond Trophy, along with several other top athletes for the Doha meeting.
