BERLIN, – Bayern Munich advanced to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals after a thrilling 4-3 victory over Real Madrid in the second leg of their quarter-final on Tuesday.
Aleksandar Pavlovic gave Bayern an early lead in the sixth minute, while Harry Kane, Luis Díaz and Michael Olise also found the net for the German side.
Real Madrid responded with resilience, as Arda Güler struck twice and Kylian Mbappé added another goal. The Spanish side took the lead on three occasions but were unable to hold on each time.
Their hopes of a comeback were further dented when Eduardo Camavinga was sent off in the 86th minute.
Elsewhere, Arsenal secured their semi-final spot after a 0-0 draw at home to Sporting CP, having won the first leg 1-0 in Portugal.
Arsenal will face Atlético Madrid in the semi-finals, while Bayern Munich take on Paris Saint-Germain for a place in the final.
