DOHA : Riders delivered a series of strong performances on the second day of the Al Shaqab Show Jumping League Finals on Thursday as competition intensified at the Longines Indoor Arena with championship titles still up for grabs ahead of the season’s concluding round.
The second qualifying class at 60cm, contested under the optimum time format with a target time of 37 seconds, was won by Sara Hussein Al Marri aboard Rose de Enhouy after a faultless round in 36.99 seconds.
Qassim Mohammed Al Emadi finished second riding Croat van Orchids in 37.03 seconds, while Mashael Mohammed Al Thani took third place aboard Malaga with a time of 36.90 seconds.
In the Amateur Class (100cm), held over two phases, Moza Hamza Al Kuwari claimed victory riding Haneen after posting a clear round in 23.57 seconds. Layan Sultan Al Thani was second aboard Dino BB Z in 23.80 seconds, while Sultan Jassim Al Suwaidi finished third with Cat Ballou 27 in 23.86 seconds.
Ali Omar Al Ansari won the Future Champions Class (110cm) aboard Nikita Indikin Z in 23.24 seconds. Abdulaziz Jassim Al Thani placed second riding Gabana M in 24.82 seconds, with Abdullah Faisal Al Mana third aboard Contiki Dice in 25.16 seconds.
Khalid Jassim Al Suwaidi continued his impressive run in the Junior Champions Individual Class (120cm), claiming both first and second places on different horses. He won aboard Etiz Quini Z in 44.77 seconds and finished runner-up on Isis du Gent in 47.15 seconds.
Amer Hamad Al Mansoori completed the podium in third place aboard Just in Time with a time of 47.27 seconds.
In the team competition, Team Afrin, represented by Yousef Abdulrahman Al Muftah, Mohammed Abdullah Al Marri, Khalid Jassim Al Suwaidi and Khalid Mohammed Al Hadi, secured first place.
Team Kahil, consisting of Saif Al Kaabi, Amer Al Mansoori, Sultan Al Suwaidi and Abdullah Al Khulaifi, finished second, while Team Daam, made up of Abdullah Khalid Al Jalandani, Ali Al Ansari, Mohammed Al Bukhari and Haifa bint Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, took third.
The Al Shaqab League Final concludes on Saturday with the decisive championship classes, including the Youth Champions competition at 135cm, the Amateur class at 105cm, Future Champions at 115cm, Junior Champions at 125cm and the Al Shaqab Champions class at 145cm.
