DOHA — Al Gharafa Beach Volleyball Centre will host the third round of the West Asia Men’s and Women’s Beach Volleyball Tour from today to Oct. 9, with 15 teams representing Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Lebanon.
Qatar will field six teams, including two men’s pairs and four women’s pairs.
The men’s teams are Qatar 1, comprising Moussa El Khair and Mohamed Ihab, and Qatar 2, featuring Saif Al Majeed and Mahmoud Essam.
The women’s teams include Qatar 1’s Haya Abu Issa and Laila Mohamed, and Qatar 2’s Shaghaf Ismail and Malak Hashim.
The same venue will then host the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Doha Open from Oct. 10-13, extending the programme into a full week of regional and continental beach volleyball competition in Doha.
The back-to-back events will bring regional and continental beach volleyball action to Qatar as the Al Gharafa centre hosts two tournaments in succession.
