DOHA : Al Gharafa will look to consolidate their grip on top spot in the Doha Bank Stars League when they take on Al Sailiya on Tuesday in the fifteenth round of the 2025-2026 season.
League leaders Al Gharafa have 31 points but come into the match at Hamad Al Kabir Stadium smarting from a 3-1 defeat by reigning champions and second-placed Al Sadd in the previous round, a result that cut their lead at the summit to two points.
Al Sailiya, meanwhile, are struggling near the foot of the table. They sit 10th on 12 points after a goalless draw with Al Shamal last time out, level on points with Umm Salal but ahead on goal difference. Umm Salal climbed to 11th after a 2-1 win over Al Duhail on Monday, while Al Shahaniya remain bottom on 11 points.
On paper, Al Gharafa are strong favourites to return to winning ways, but Al Sailiya know they need a positive result to boost their bid for survival in the top flight.
