NEW DELHI: Abhishek Sharma smashed the fastest T20I century by a Full Member batter, reaching his hundred in just 30 balls against Afghanistan in the third T20I in Delhi.
His record-breaking knock was three balls faster than the previous mark jointly held by Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza and New Zealand’s Finn Allen.
Abhishek also broke India’s previous T20I record of 35 balls, set by Rohit Sharma against Sri Lanka in 2017.
India wrapped up the series 3-0, completing a dominant white-ball series against Afghanistan.
