DOHA: Pablo Sarabia scored a hat-trick as Al Arabi thrashed Al Shahania 6-0 in Week 6 of the 2026-27 Doha Bank Stars League at Khalifa International Stadium on Friday.
The Spaniard struck in first-half stoppage time from the penalty spot before adding two more goals in the 64th and 72nd minutes to complete a commanding performance for the Dream Team.
Jordan Veretout opened the scoring in the 40th minute, while Oussama Tannane doubled Al Arabi’s advantage further with a goal in the 50th minute. Youssef Snana completed the rout in the 89th minute.
Sarabia converted a penalty in the fourth minute of first-half stoppage time before producing a powerful strike from the edge of the penalty area for his second goal. He completed his hat-trick with a fine individual effort, dribbling past two defenders before finding the net.
Al Shahania struggled to create meaningful opportunities, although they came close to scoring in the 54th minute following an indirect free kick inside the penalty area.
The opportunity arose after Al Arabi goalkeeper Jassim Al Hail picked up the ball following his own attempted clearance. However, Jawad El Jemili’s effort struck the crossbar.
The emphatic victory was Al Arabi’s third of the season and lifted them to 12 points, while Al Shahania remained on seven points after suffering their second defeat of the campaign.
