DOHA : Qatar’s Aspire Zone Foundation has signed a partnership agreement with the Spanish Padel Federation to support Spain’s men’s and women’s national teams ahead of the 2026 and 2028 FIP Padel World Cups in Doha.
The agreement, signed in Madrid on Thursday, runs until Dec. 31, 2028, and makes Aspire Zone an official partner of both Spanish national teams.
The partnership aims to strengthen international sporting cooperation and support Spain’s preparations for the two championships. It also covers collaboration in sports facilities, technical expertise, promotional activities and community engagement.
The agreement forms part of Aspire Zone’s “Elevate 2030” strategy, which focuses on improving sporting standards, developing talent and promoting excellence.
Nasser Al Hajri, acting general manager of Aspire Logistics and chief marketing officer, said the partnership reflected the foundation’s commitment to establishing strategic relationships and generating sustainable commercial returns.
He said Aspire Zone would use its expertise and facilities to support athletes, improve performance and strengthen Qatar’s position as a host of major sporting events.
Spanish Padel Federation president Javier Rodriguez Piris welcomed the agreement, saying it would help provide Spain’s national teams with the conditions needed to compete at the highest level.
He also highlighted Qatar’s growing importance in international padel and expressed confidence in developing a productive, long-term relationship with Aspire Zone.
Kamel Badawy, Aspire Zone’s chief information and strategic alliances officer, said the agreement would create opportunities for investment, business development and knowledge exchange.
The partnership will also allow both organisations to explore further areas of cooperation while supporting preparations for the upcoming world championships in Doha.
