TOKYO: The Qatari delegation participating in the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games celebrated the success of its karate team in winning a silver and a bronze medal, an achievement that reflects the distinguished presence of Qatari sports on the Asian stage.
The celebration was held in a festive atmosphere, attended by Mohammed bin Yousef Al-Mana, First Vice President of the Qatar Olympic Committee; Jassim bin Rashid Al-Buainain, Secretary General of the Qatar Olympic Committee; Eid Al-Marikhi, President of the Qatar Karate Federation; Abdulrahman Mustafa, silver medalist; and Abdullah Rashad, bronze medalist.
The celebration was held in recognition of the athletes’ performance during the Games and their efforts that contributed to reaching the podium and raising the Qatari flag at this continental sporting event.
The silver medal won by Abdulrahman Mustafa and the bronze medal won by Abdullah Rashad add another achievement to Qatar’s record of participation in the Asian Games, and underscore the efforts of the players, technical and administrative staff, and the Qatar Karate Federation.
