Lahore: From playing rooftop cricket with her brother to captaining Pakistan U19 to a landmark series victory, Eman Naseer’s journey is one of resilience, determination and passion for the sport.

The Islamabad-born batting all-rounder developed her love for cricket at a young age. “I belong to Islamabad and developed a passion for cricket early on, initially playing with my brother and cousins,” Eman shared. “My brother supported me a lot, and that encouragement helped me take cricket seriously.”

Balancing academics and cricket proved challenging in the early years. “Managing studies and cricket together was tough, especially during my 10th class, but my passion kept me going,” she said.

Eman’s progress has been shaped by learning from setbacks. After an underwhelming outing in the 2024 National Women’s U19 T20 Tournament with Strikers, she bounced back strongly in 2025 with Conquerors, finishing seventh among the top batters.

“My first domestic tournament didn’t meet expectations, but it showed me the level of hard work needed to succeed,” she reflected.

Her defining moment came during Pakistan U19’s tour to Bangladesh in December 2025, where she led the team to a 3-2 series win and emerged as the leading run-scorer.

“Winning a series for Pakistan as captain was one of the most memorable moments of my life. Our unity, fearless approach and positive intent were key to our success,” she said.

Eman credited her growth to constant learning and observation. “I closely observed other players, learned from them, and built a routine to reach that level and represent Pakistan.” (PCB)
