DOHA (Qatar): Al Wakrah coach Marquez said his time had little time to prepare as his side take on defending champions Duhail SC in Qatar Stars League tomorrow.
“There was not enough time to prepare for the match against Al Duhail as the gap between the first and second weeks is only three days. The players had a day off and two days to prepare for the meeting.
“We know very well that the first three weeks of the league are completely different from the rest and therefore we will try to put in our best efforts. We are prepared to face Al Duhail, the champions of last season.
“I admit that there must be mistakes in football, but sometimes those mistakes are not translated into goals. But we committed two mistakes against Al Ahli in the first match and that resulted in two goals.
“We must forget that defeat and focus on the Al Duhail match, and correct the mistakes we made in the game against Al Ahli,” said Marquez.
