DOHA: Hundreds of fans from Qatar and across the Arab world filled Old Doha Port with colour, music, and celebration as a lively parade marked the countdown to the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, scheduled from December 1 to 18.
The event showcased the region’s rich culture and deep-rooted passion for football. Supporters from all 23 participating nations marched along Doha’s scenic waterfront, waving national flags and energising the crowd with traditional music, chants, and songs. Community groups and fan leaders played a prominent role, bringing together diverse voices in a display of unity and pride.
The parade captured the essence of the Arab Cup—an event designed to strengthen bonds among Arab nations and celebrate their shared love for the beautiful game. As Qatar prepares to welcome teams and supporters from across the region, the festivities highlighted the growing anticipation surrounding one of the Arab world’s most significant sporting gatherings.
Matches will take place across six iconic stadiums that hosted the FIFA World Cup 2022: Al Bayt, Lusail, Ahmad bin Ali, Education City, Khalifa International, and Stadium 974. Each venue is fully accessible and connected by modern public transport, ensuring a smooth and inclusive experience for fans.
Beyond the matches, fan zones will offer cultural and entertainment activities to enhance the tournament’s festive atmosphere. Sixteen teams will compete for the coveted title, with nine earning automatic qualification and 14 others fighting for the remaining seven spots in playoffs set for November 25 and 26 in Qatar.
The parade served as a vibrant reminder of the unity, camaraderie, and shared identity that football continues to inspire across the Arab world.
