The trainings are scheduled to take place each Monday and Wednesday from 6pm to 8.30pm all of August. The opening of the activities has been done following all the healthy protocols and maintaining all government guidelines to avoid any health issue.

Khalid Al Remaihi, LCSC Vice-President and General Manager said he was glad to announce the reopening of track activities.

“We are very happy to open gradually the LCSC facilities after a long period. The summer riders training camp is a chance for the championship riders to resume their trainings and be ready for the start of the championship. We have to be very cautious and we are maintaining all the government and federation requirements for everyone’s safety,” Al Remaihi said.

“After the training camp event, we are working on opening again the karting track and but it will be in further steps,” he added.

Reigning QSTK600 Champion Abdullah al-Qubaisi was excited to get back on the track. “You know we are involved with this summer camp in Qatar. We have the Covid-19 situation. We can’t go out of Qatar for races but we are enjoying ourselves. The weather is hot but at least we are in training now. That’s a nice feeling being on the bike,” he said.

The 22-year-old rider said he kept himself busy during the hiatus by following a fitness regime. “In the three months, I trained many hours to remain physically and mentally fit. And now after the long wait, we are starting here. Thanks to QMMF we are in this position where we can resume training,” al-Qubaisi said.
