DOHA: Jassim Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Qatar Weightlifting Federation, was elected Chairman of the Development Committee in both the West Asian Weightlifting Federation and the Arab Weightlifting Federation.
Khaled Abdulaziz Nabina, Assistant Secretary-General of the Qatar Weightlifting Federation, was also elected Chairman of the Athletes’ Committee in the Arab Weightlifting Federation. These appointments are for the electoral term from 2025 to 2029.
These selections were made during the electoral meetings held in Doha in December 2025, reflecting the growing confidence in Qatari expertise and recognizing their administrative and technical experience, as well as their role in supporting the development of weightlifting at both the regional and international levels.
It is worth noting that Qatari officials also have a strong presence at the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), where Jassim Al Mansouri serves on the Innovation and Development Committee, and Khaled Nabina serves on the Governance Committee, also for the term from 2025 to 2029.
