DOHA : The draw for the round of 16 of the Qatar Football Association’s age-group Cup competitions was held on Monday at the headquarters of the Association’s Development Department.
The ceremony was attended by Mohammed Zayed Al-Marri, Head of the Education Department, Wajdi Bousarsar, Technical Expert in the Development Department, Hazem Harba, Head of Age Groups, and Mahmoud Abbas, Senior Supervisor of Age Group Competitions.
Al-Marri welcomed representatives of the participating clubs and wished them success, while Bousarsar outlined the draw mechanism for each age category through to the later rounds and finals.
In the under-13 competition, Al Gharafa will face Umm Salal, Al Arabi meet Al Shamal, Muaither play Qatar, Al Sadd take on Al Khor, Al Waab face Muaither, Al Markhiya meet Al Wakrah, Al Sailiya play Al Ahli, and Al Duhail face Al Rayyan.
In the under-14 category, fixtures see Al Rayyan against Qatar, Al Gharafa meet Al Waab, Al Markhiya play Al Wakrah, Umm Salal face Al Shamal, Al Khor meet Al Arabi, Al Kharaitiyat play Al Duhail, and Al Sadd take on Al Ahli.
Under-15 matchups include Al Sadd versus Muaither, Al Khor against Al Duhail, Qatar meeting Al Sailiya, Al Gharafa facing Al Shamal, Al Arabi playing Al Ahli, and Lusail taking on Al Wakrah.
In the under-17 competition, Al Sadd will play Al Shamal, Al Duhail face Al Arabi, Al Shahaniya meet Qatar, Al Markhiya play Al Ahli, Al Wakrah take on Al Gharafa, Al Khor face Umm Salal, and Al Rayyan meet Lusail.
The under-19 draw pairs Al Shamal with Muaither, Al Sadd against Qatar, Umm Salal versus Al Duhail, Al Rayyan against Al Arabi, Al Sailiya meeting Muaither, Al Gharafa facing Al Ahli, Al Markhiya against Al Shahaniya, and Al Khor taking on Al Wakrah.
The remaining rounds of the competitions are scheduled to be played in March and April, the association said.
