DOHA: The Development Department of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) has concluded the third and final stage of the C-level Goalkeeper Coaches Training Course, part of its calendar to qualify technical staff.
The final day featured practical and theoretical examinations for participants, along with presentations reviewing their experiences during the second phase, known as the residential period. The presentations highlighted methods for applying the skills acquired during the course within club environments.
The course was delivered by instructors Captain Maher Bayrakdar, Captain Ali Fouad and Captain Bakri Knaifati, and focused on enhancing coaches’ understanding of core goalkeeping skills and their application in training sessions and competitive matches.
The programme forms part of the technical initiatives overseen by the Development Department under its Executive Director, Fahad Thani Al-Zaraa, aimed at improving coaching standards and developing the goalkeeping sector at Qatari clubs in line with the latest approved benchmarks.
