MILAN : Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Olympic Council of Asia and President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, attended a dinner hosted by International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Kirsty Coventry on Thursday on the sidelines of the IOC’s 145th Session in Milan.
The gathering was attended by presidents of national Olympic committees, members of the IOC and heads of international sports federations.
The dinner provided an opportunity for discussions on a range of issues related to the Olympic movement, as part of a series of side meetings held alongside the session aimed at strengthening communication and coordination among global sports leaders.
The event was also attended by Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, who is a member of the IOC’s Olympic Education Commission.
