DOHA: The Qatar women’s national volleyball team will launch their campaign in the 2nd West Asia Women’s Volleyball Championship with a tough opening match against host nation Jordan on Friday in Amman.
The Qatari squad departed Doha on Thursday, eager to make a strong start in the regional competition that runs until October 11. Following their opener, Qatar will take on Iraq on Saturday, before meeting Saudi Arabia on Monday and Lebanon on Tuesday. Their group stage journey will conclude with a clash against Syria next Thursday.
For Qatar, the tournament offers more than just competitive fixtures—it provides a crucial opportunity to measure progress, test their abilities against regional opponents, and further develop team cohesion and dynamics on court.
With determination to set the tone in their first match, the team will be aiming to build momentum for a successful campaign in Amman.
