Kuwait : Qatar’s national handball team will face South Korea on Tuesday in a Group A match at the 22nd Asian Men’s Handball Championship, which is being held in Kuwait until Jan. 26.
The tournament also serves as a qualifying event for the 2027 World Men’s Handball Championship in Germany.
Both teams have already advanced to the main round. Qatar secured qualification with a 27-15 win over Oman, while South Korea defeated Oman 29-24.
Qatar will be aiming to beat South Korea to finish top of Group A.
The draw placed Qatar, South Korea and Oman in Group A. Group B includes Bahrain, Iraq, China and Jordan; Group C features Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and India; while Group D comprises Japan, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Australia.
