DOHA: The Qatar Athletics Federation (QAF) announced on Tuesday that the national team will take part in the 12th Asian Indoor Athletics Championships, scheduled to be held in Tianjin, China, from February 6 to 8.
The continental event will feature around 400 athletes from across Asia. In a statement posted on its official social media platforms, the QAF said the Qatari squad includes several prominent indoor track and field athletes, including Ammar Ismail, Ashraf Hussein, Ismail Dawood and Abubaker Hussein.
Qatar will compete in the 60 metres hurdles, the 400 and 800 metres, the 4×400 metres relay, as well as the high jump.
