Qatar’s men’s and women’s national teams are set to compete in the GCC 3×3 Basketball Championship, taking place in Muscat, Oman, from 28 to 29 November 2025. The prestigious regional tournament, hosted at Al Mouj Muscat Arena, promises fierce competition among top Gulf squads.
Five GCC nations—Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and host Oman—will field a total of 12 teams, with six in the men’s category and six in the women’s. The teams have been divided into two groups, with the top two from each advancing to the semifinals, while third-placed teams will battle for fifth and sixth positions.
Men’s Draw: Qatar’s men landed in Group B alongside Oman B and Bahrain. They kick off their campaign on Friday, 28 November, with an opening match against Oman B, followed by a clash with Bahrain in the group stage.
Women’s Draw: The Qatari women’s team also drew Group B, facing Oman B and Bahrain. Their schedule mirrors the men’s, starting with Oman B on 28 November, then taking on Bahrain.
Both Qatari squads enter the event with high ambitions, aiming to build on their recent success at the Arab 3×3 Championship, where they swept gold in the youth categories. Intensive preparations have focused on elevating performance in the fast-paced 3×3 format, which has surged in popularity regionally and globally.
