DOHA (Qatar): Saeed Al Sulaiti continued his domination at the Qatar Superstock 600 (QSSP) by winning his third successive race of the 2021 season.
Al Sulaiti, who had won the first two races of round 1, put on a dominant show on his Yamaha YZF-R6 to top race 1 of the second round to extend his impressive run at the Losail International Circuit.
Defending champion Abdullah Al Qubaisi finished second while Meshaal Al Nuaimi came third.
Al Sulati was delighted to continue his good form in round 2.
“In free practice we have some issues with the bike and we fixed it in the Super Pole and I did well in the warmup, so I was confidant going into the race,” said the experienced rider, his Yamaha YZF-R6
Al Sulati said he adopted a cautious approach going into the race and went full steam in the last four laps.
“The first seven laps I was cautious and in the last four laps I accelerated and I was able to overtake Abdullah (Abdullah Al Qubaisi) in the lap,” added the 35-year-old.
