DOHA: Qatar Table Tennis Association launched the men’s league for the 2023-2024 season at its training center in Ras Abu Abud today.

In the first round, last year’s runner-up Qatar Sports Club managed to achieve a difficult 3-2 win over Al Ahli Club 3-2 after a marathon match that extended to the tiebreaker.

Al Shamal, Al Gharafa, Al Rayyan, Al Khor, Al Ahli, Al Saad, Al Wakrah, Qatar SC and Al Arabi are the participating clubs in this season. The league will continue until December 5.

In another match, Al Arabi beat Al Wakrah 3-0.

Qatar SC won the title for four consecutive seasons from 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, but Al Sadd stopped them at last year’s final.
