DOHA – Qatar will host the Qatar Football Festival 2026 from March 26 to 31, featuring the Finalissima Cup and a series of international matches involving six national teams as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Local Organising Committee for Football Events said.
The festival programme includes six matches, highlighted by the Finalissima Cup 2026 at Lusail Stadium on March 27, where European champions Spain will face South American champions Argentina, the reigning FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 holders.
Four national teams – Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Serbia – will also take part in friendly matches aimed at assessing their technical and competitive readiness ahead of the World Cup.
The schedule opens on March 26 with Egypt playing Saudi Arabia at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, while Qatar face Serbia at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on the same day. On March 30, Egypt will meet Spain at Lusail Stadium, with Saudi Arabia taking on Serbia at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium. The festival will conclude on March 31 with Qatar facing Argentina at Lusail Stadium.
The organising committee said it will offer exclusive travel packages for international fans in partnership with Visit Qatar and Qatar Airways from Feb. 1, 2026. The packages will include flights, accommodation and match tickets. Ticket sales will begin on Feb. 25, 2026, via the website roadtoqatar.qa.
Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani, Minister of Sports and Youth and chairman of the Local Organising Committee, said Qatar was ready to welcome players and supporters from around the world as it prepares to host leading international stars ahead of the World Cup.
“Hosting the Qatar Football Festival reflects our commitment to delivering world-class experiences and reaffirms Qatar’s position as a trusted partner in global football,” he said.
Lusail Stadium, which hosted the FIFA World Cup final in 2022 and major continental finals, continues to be one of the country’s flagship venues and a focal point for high-profile international football events.
