DOHA : Tickets have been released for Qatar’s clash with India in the second qualifying window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027, organisers said on Monday.
Qatar will host India on Friday at the Lusail Multipurpose Hall before taking on Saudi Arabia national basketball team on Monday.
The Qatar national basketball team head into the second window second in Group D with three points, level with Lebanon national basketball team and one point behind leaders Saudi Arabia. India national basketball team are bottom of the group with two points.
Qatar completed a training camp in Turkiye ahead of the window, with head coach Hakan Demir overseeing preparations focused on tactical work, offensive and defensive systems, physical conditioning and team cohesion.
The Asian and Oceania qualifiers feature 16 teams divided into four groups, with the top three from each group advancing to the second round. Teams are then redistributed into two groups, from which three sides from each group qualify for the 2027 World Cup along with the best fourth-placed team.
The qualification campaign will be played across six windows and run until March 2027.
