Doha: Qatar’s men’s basketball team secured second place in the GCC 3×3 Basketball Championship, hosted by Muscat, the capital of Oman, from November 28 to 29, 2025.
The team lost in the final match to Bahrain 16-20 in a match held at The Wave-Muscat area on Saturday evening.
The Qatari team reached the final after a well-deserved 20-16 victory over Saudi Arabia in the semi-final round, while Bahrain advanced to the final after defeating Kuwait 21-14.
The “Al-Annabi” team started their campaign strongly in the group stage, defeating Oman (B) 16-12 in their opening match in the second group, before securing another victory against Bahrain 17-13 to achieve a perfect record and top the group.
